Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1 — Manali → Jispa Camp ~140 km

Depart Manali. Drive through Rohtang Pass (may need special permit).
Cross Baralacha La (4,890m). Arrive Jispa.
River-side camping. Acclimatize at 3,200m.
Briefing on trek safety and Leave No Trace principles.

Day 2 — Jispa → Kaza ~190 km

Cross Baralacha La and Tanglang La. Dramatic high-altitude passes.
Arrive Kaza — Spiti's main town. Check in to hotel.
Evening briefing on Pin Valley trek.
Early dinner and rest.

Day 3 — Kaza → Pin Valley Base Trek Begins

Drive to Mud village (Pin Valley entry). Trek briefing.
Trek to Pin Valley base camp (4,200m). 8 km, 5 hrs.
Landscape: grey mountains, turquoise Pin River, zero vegetation.
Camp setup. Stargazing at 4,200m — extraordinary.

Day 4 — Pin Valley Trek Full Day Trek

Trek deeper into Pin Valley — snow leopard habitat.
Visit a remote nomadic herder camp.
High point viewpoint (4,600m). Return to base camp.
Overnight camp.

Day 5 — Pin Valley → Kaza Trek Out

Trek back to Mud village. Drive to Kaza.
Hot meal and rest.
Visit Key Monastery (4,166m) — the crown of Spiti.
Overnight Kaza hotel.

Day 6 — Kaza → Dhankar ~70 km

Drive to Dhankar village. Dramatic cliff-side monastery.
Trek to Dhankar Lake (4,600m). 3 km, 2 hrs up. Worth every step.
Return to Dhankar. Overnight homestay.
Cultural exchange with local families.

Day 7 — Dhankar → Tabo → Kaza Monastery Circuit

Tabo Monastery (996 AD) — UNESCO heritage site. 1,000-year-old murals.
Gue Mummy — 500-year-old naturally preserved Buddhist monk.
Return Kaza. Rest day.
Overnight hotel.

Day 8 — Hikkim & Langza Local Day Trips

Hikkim — world's highest post office. Send a postcard!
Langza fossils — ancient seabed, now at 4,400m. Mind-bending geology.
Komic village visit.
Pack for Chandratal tomorrow.

Day 9 — Kaza → Chandratal → Manali ~190 km

Drive to Chandratal Lake (4,300m). Short trek around the lake.
The crescent of turquoise water against brown mountains — otherworldly.
Cross Kunzum Pass (4,590m) and Rohtang.
Arrive Manali late evening. Hot shower!

Day 10 — Departure from Manali Departure

Post-breakfast checkout.
Drop at Manali bus stand or Bhuntar Airport.
Tour ends. You've conquered Spiti!
